4 detained activists released

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi security forces today released the four activists who were detained, NGO activist Basim Hamzoz announced.
The four activists were detained during the Friday demonstrations on 25 May 2011.
Unknown persons wearing civilian clothes kidnapped the four activists, putting them in an ambulance heading for an unknown destination.
Hamzoz told Aswat al-Iraq that they were released by the court.
He added that the security forces charged them with having forged identity cards.
The arrest of the four activists aroused great public and political indignation in the country.
